Teams from the Binus University group won the past two Greater Jakarta regional selections before they both eventually claimed the national BP debating title. Binus International Pool of English Debaters (Bipeds) and Bina Nusantara English Club (BNEC) take turns in representing Binus in the National Universities Debating Championships. It is Bipeds time this year. The Binus-UI rivalry is expected to continue in the nationals next month.
The two other teams in the Region 3 final were dark horse Institut Pertanian Bogor and Universitas Pelita Harapan, a school that failed to reach the semifinals last year.
