WUDC 2014: 13 Indonesian Teams on Initial Allocation List

Only 13 Indonesian teams found their way on the initial allocation list for the 2014 World Universities Debating Championships that had 354 spots. Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Atma Jaya got high places due to previous success breaking into the elimination stage. The other teams entered after a randomisation that gave Universitas Pelita Harapan, which has never debated in WUDC before, an under-100 spot and put regular customers like Binus International and Institut Teknologi Bandung on the waiting list.

The organisers strongly expect many institutions on the main list will drop out and all on the waiting list will get a first team slot in the coming weeks. All institutions must create a FastRego account by next Monday, June 11 to keep their places. Initial institutions also have to pay a deposit by July 8.
