Universitas Indonesia 1 (Dennys Kapa/Elghafiky Bimardhika) became the first team to break into the EFL semifinals of the 2012 Asian British Parliamentary Debating Championship, leading four other Indonesian teams that also proceeded to the out rounds. UI 1 almost broke into the main elimination round as they collected 10 points from 6 preliminary rounds like the last three advancing teams but missed the cut due to lower speaker scores. Three Japanese teams round up the EFL semifinal line-up. ABP 2012 knockouts take place tomorrow.
