JOVED 2012: UI vs ITB in the Final for the First Time

The two top-ranked teams in the 2012 Java Overland Varsities English Debate, #1 Universitas Indonesia A (Adlini Ilma Ghaisany, Elghafiky Bimardhika, Roderick Sibarani)  and #2 Institut Teknologi Bandung A (Rifan Ibnu Rahman, Vicario Reinaldo, Yustina Octifanny), will meet in the grand final tomorrow at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. The two schools have participated in every JOVED since the first one in 1997 with UI winning it 5 times and ITB once but they have never faced off in the grand final of this competition before. JOVED is the first tournament in Indonesia using an internationally accepted format. The event in Purwokerto this year is the 16th edition. It is the second time for the Central Java town to host JOVED. UI won its first JOVED when Purwokerto last hosted it in 2000.
