#2 Gadjah Mada A vs #7 Bauman A (RUS) vs #10 Megatrend A (SER) vs #15 Bucharest A (ROM)
#3 Atma A vs #6 Belgrade A vs #11 Cyril and Methodius A (MAC) vs #14 Tokyo A (JPN)
No other from Indonesia's 10 teams broke in any of the WUDC categories. Three teams --Universitas Indonesia A, Institut Teknologi Bandung A, Binus International A-- could not break into the EFL knockouts even if their points might suffice because they were considered to be part of the higher-skilled ESL bracket. Only those with less than 3 months of school age living in a country where English is the primary language or less than 6 months of studying in an institution with English as the language of instruction can fit the EFL bill. Only 3 Asian teams made the EFL cut this year. The rest came from continental Europe.
Indonesian teams have reached the EFL semifinals twice but a title is still elusive. UGM and Atma teams surely want to set a record.
