#3 Institut Teknologi Bandung A (Alris Alfharisi, Fauzan Reza Maulana, Jane Revevalin) will face #5 Binus International (Invi Atmanegara, Jaran Walia, Wilson Salim) in the varsity final of the 2013 ALSA UI English Competition, their second meeting in the tournament. The younger, all-sophomore ITB team won the first match in R4 but the opponent is bent on settling the score.
In the semifinals, ITB eliminated back-to-back champions #2 Universitas Indonesia, which dropped no match in the preliminary stage, ruining UI's chance for a hat-trick. Binus International, which has never won ALSA UI before, edged out another team with an undefeated record, #1 Universitas Gadjah Mada on a 3-2 split decision. The final will take place later today at UI's law school.
