Institut Teknologi Bandung won its second trophy in 2011 at Universitas Padjadjaran's NDC-NES following its triumph in the Southeast Asian English Olympics last month. ITB A (Melliza Pretty, Muhammad Pandu, Luthfi Abdurrahman) defeated ITB B (Fathir Ramadhan, Rifan Ibnu Rahman, Farah Fitriana) in an all-ITB final that showcased the engineering students' dominance in the economics-themed debating contest.
Muhammad Pandu topped the speaker tab, becoming the third ITB student who won a best debater award in the first three months of this year. Rifan Ibnu Rahman took the title in the Indonesian Varsities English Debate in January while in February Luthfi Abdurrahman was a co-best speaker in SEO, which he championed with Karina Soedjatmiko.
ITB last year won the ALSA UI E-Comp, Indonesia's longest-surviving debating competition. The school's recent strong performance bolsters the campaign to defend the title next month at Universitas Indonesia's Depok campus.
This sounds really good, Bubu. Thank you for the praises and publication.
