Calling themselves RED, the partnership of Institut Teknologi Bandung debaters Rifan Ibnu Rahman and Lutfie Abdurrahman with Universitas Diponegoro graduate Satrio Adi Pratama emerged victorious at the 2012 ITS Open in Surabaya today. This is Rifan's second trophy in April 2012 after a victory at PNDC Lampung two weeks ago. In the final, RED knocked down the motion "This House Believes That Obama Deserves a Second Term" proposed by a team that comprised current and graduated debaters from Universitas Gadjah Mada. The tournament allowed all types of composites to compete and graduates to represent their alma mater. The key results are as follows:

Finalists: UGM A (Eldhianto Jusuf, Caessar Pronocitro, Novelisa Wirid)
