NDC-NES 2012: Top Rank Bipeds v Nat'l Champs Bakrie in Final

Tomorrow's grand final of the 2012 National Debating Competition-National Economic Seminar will pit #1 Binus International B (Rajkumar Narendra Sangtani, Andrew Sadeli, Melisa Irene), leader of the preliminary round tab, against #3 Universitas Bakrie B (Aryo Febrian, Mutiara Hapsari, Alifia Firliani), which have 2 speakers who won Indonesia's 3-on-3 national championships last February. In the semifinals today, both teams scraped through on 4-3 split decisions. Bakrie B beat #2 Binus International A, denying an all-Bipeds final in this economics-themed tournament at Bandung's Universitas Padjadjaran. If Bakrie comes out victorious, the school will be the only Indonesian university with more than one debating title this year. A Bipeds win will mean 2012 has a very even playing field. Five competitions in Indonesia so far have produced 5 different winning universities.
