Roderick Sibarani from Universitas Indonesia is still leading the IndoDebate's Debater of the Year list after consistent results in the recent National Universities English Debating Championships and Java Overland Varsities English Debate.
Besides JOVED and NUEDC, the list has incorporated results from the Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championships' ESL category and Bawor Cup. The two latter tournaments had UI's Dimas Hokka lifting the trophy and those achievements propelled him into the top 5 of the DOTY rankings. Rifan Ibnu Rahman may have not won a tournament yet but his ability to reach 4 different grand finals this year, including at NUEDC and JOVED, made the Institut Teknologi Bandung debater very close to pole position.
